Kenya and Tanzania share many things in common. Swahili is the national language of both countries, while both were once ruled by Britain and English is widely spoken in both the countries. Both the countries are known for their warm and welcoming people, and last but not the least is the strong popularity our volunteer vacation programs enjoy both in both the countries.
One of the reasons could be the option of safari the volunteers can enjoy to fascinating savannas in both Tanzania and Kenya. Iain Watkins, who volunteered in Kenya in 19 April 2010 said, “It’s been a great experience and would be happy to do another. Safari was awesome.”
In Rustic’s volunteer work Tanzania program, there are many options for volunteer work, from working with children in an orphanage, to teaching English, health project to working with Masai women. In all these projects, volunteers will gain extremely valuable experience of working with disadvantaged and marginalized people, and through their volunteering work, these communities will also see their lives improve. Many volunteers combine this experience with safari and together with living with host family they will gain immense satisfaction and an experience of a lifetime.
In the stunning savannas of Masai Mara in Kenya, our volunteers can gain the same pleasure of going in a safari as in the Serengeti of Tanzania. It’s also easy for volunteers to take out free time and arrange for a safari. Rustic’s volunteer Kenya receives more than 50 volunteers every month and many enjoy the combination of meaningful volunteering work with safari. Because of this and the warmth of the local people many return also. Kenya and Tanzania are both magnetic place and the favorite volunteer abroad destinations for our volutneers.
